The Get Down

So, at this point it is clear that I am influenced by almost any and everything when it comes to my style. I can be at an event and see something that catches my eye or I could be watching TV and be influenced. The TV scenario, is what happened last weekend. Like many, I binge watched The Get Down on Netflix and couldn't help but be motivated by the bright colors and disco influences. Just an FYI, my favorite style decades are the 70's and 90's, so no wonder The Get Down moved me. I quickly rummaged through my closet and found some bell bottoms, platforms, and a pendent laced turban to channel my inner Mylene. What really brought The Get Down vibes out weren't my clothes in this case, but my location. See below and let me know if I nailed The Get Down graffiti look.
